Pride Ripped Me Open & Gave Me Life

Self-portrait of pride inside pouring out. Having advanced glaucoma, I need to be able to feel the art in order to “see it“. I work in three dimensions a.k.a. tactile art. The original concept was an autopsy in which the organs of my body would be colors of the rainbow flag. Crafting the collage I tried to show this as pride exploded out from inside of me.

Artist: Kered

I am an artist who has made SanFrancisco her home for the past 45 years. With my trademark "Blue Nails" I have worked in all kinds of media from drawing, painting and collage to puppetry and music. I also worked and performed with Hand Ghost Theatre, now defunct.
